The symbol of the flaming star with a G in it, is dedicated
to Jacques De Molay, which means that Molay climbed out of the
burning wood-pile, where he was burned to death in Paris. |
The painting above is of the
still famous Jacques de Molay who lived from 1240- 1314) and
was the last Grandmaster of the Templer Order. The order attracted
many rich aristocrats who donated all they had to the order to
stay with the Templers. The Templers were very zealous about
pilgrims to Jerusalem who needed protection from thieves. Over
time they grew into a very successful brotherhood who served
society with goods and services, especially in the banking industry.
They became very rich and powerful. They worked with the Roman
Catholic Church which turned on them in the early thirteen hundreds.
Pope Clemens V and Ludwig XIV in France got jealous of
their collosal riches. The Pope and Philip le Bel destroyed the
Templer Order totally. Some Templers went to Italy for asylum
and some went to Ireland and Scotland. Most of them were jailed
for life and killed. They were accused of homosexuality, betrayal
of Jesus and worshipping Baphomet. On May 12, 1310, 54 Templers
were condemmed and burnt at the stake. Others soon followed .
In Paris, Grandmaster Jacques de Molay, after almost seven years
in jail , was condemmed to die by fire also on March 11, 1314.
Molay confessed that he deserved to die because he had betrayed
everyone, including the Pope. Due to his martydom, he is today
idealized by young men who become members of this Masonic organization
named after him.
The Templers' brotherhood was similar to priesthoods except
they were completely independent of the church but had their
support in the early years. Freemasonry dates as far back as
the invention of astrology which is the foundation of their belief.
It is a form of religion combined the secrets of the craft of
building Cathedrals all over Europe. There was much competition
to get the jobs. Masons traveled from job to job and became intertwined
with religious orders and eventually the skills were not important.
Masons mingled with Knights of Orders and the two merged into
a political secret society of young and old aristocrats.
The crusaders in the beginning were Christians but over
time from confrontations with Islams and other religions they
became infiltrated with astrology and other ancient philosophies.
They got involved with communicating with the "dead"
(demonic spirits) and began curing people with illnesses with
herbs and magic - Schamanism. Secret priesthoods who practiced
sun worship go back to ancient Egypt and even further. Man was
always concerned with the universe and how it performs and how
to harness its resources, psychic and physical. (taken from:
