We were Mormons (Temple Mormons) for 20 years. We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking out against Scientology. The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church which doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word of God has undergone many changes to fit the present mode. The Bible calls for a falling away from the truth before Jesus comes back for His Bride, the true believers are called 'Ekklesia.' The second section is about globalism where we bring your attention to the social, political and global trend, so called democratizing what is left. One third of the world still remains to be taken over. It again proves that we are moving to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied in the Bible. By THOM SHANKER - September 8, 2006 - WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 — Mohammad Khatami, the former president of Iran, made an unusual appearance at Washington’s National Cathedral on Thursday evening, urging religious tolerance and political dialogue while protesters chanted and blasted horns outside. Mr. Khatami is on a five-city speaking tour of the United States as the guest of private organizations, although the State Department, which approved his visa, assisted with security. Iranian diplomats in this country are usually restricted to activities at the United Nations. The line for his speech, which drew an estimated 1,200 people, formed two hours in advance. At a news conference in Washington on Thursday afternoon, Mr. Khatami spoke in terms that combined the religious and the temporal, urging a spiritual dialogue among those of different religions even as he criticized what he described as threatening words of their governments. He repeated his government’s official line that Iran would be prepared to discuss its nuclear program with the world community, but without the precondition of freezing its enrichment of uranium as demanded by a United Nations resolution as well as the United States and its closest allies. “We are in search of solutions,” Mr. Khatami said through an interpreter. “During the course of negotiations we could even talk about suspensions, the nature of suspensions, the timing of suspensions and the durations of suspensions.” He cautioned that “the threat of use of force, and language of threat, has never produced a resolution.” Mr. Khatami served as president of Iran for two terms, from 1997 to 2005, and is the highest-ranking Iranian to visit Washington since the United States severed relations under President Carter in 1980 after the 1979 revolution and the seizure of American hostages. His speaking tour ostensibly is to discuss interfaith cooperation. But his comments will certainly be scrutinized for any indication of current Iranian thinking on critical international issues. Officials representing Mr. Khatami’s host in Washington, the Center for Global Justice and Reconciliation at Cathedral College, hailed him as a moderate voice of Iranian politics whose advice could advance world peace. But Sean McCormack, the State Department spokesman, said this week that Mr. Khatami’s record should be viewed as mixed, and he cautioned against any automatic embrace of him as representing a reformist strain of Iranian politics. In comments to reporters before his speech, Mr. Khatami discussed the overlap of teachings from the three world religions that descended from Abraham. He cited Jesus as the prophet of kindness, Muhammad as the prophet of ethics, morality and grace, and Moses as the prophet of dialogue. He urged an end to the stockpiling of unconventional weapons and expressed a hope that “coexistence, mutual understanding could replace violence, terror; and these could be used to pursue reconciliation.” The Middle East, he said, should be a region free of unconventional weapons. He rejected assertions that Iran’s nuclear program was aimed at producing nuclear weapons, repeating the official statements from Tehran that Iran’s efforts to achieve expertise in nuclear technology are to guarantee its energy needs. Mr. Khatami’s visit drew criticism from conservatives inside Iran, voices that he rejected by saying, “If you want to accept to live in a democratic society, you have to accept dissent.” He said that “one of the greatest achievements” of his administration was tolerating criticism even for senior members of the executive branch. He did not mention that such criticism of Iran’s clerical leadership is not similarly tolerated. “Today no other course is before us but that of recognition of the right of humankind to rule its own destiny, and the manifestation of this right in democratic systems ought not to be limited to liberal democracies,” Mr. Khatami said in his address. Muslim leaders in the Mideast gave mixed reactions to the pontiff’s apology. Mahmoud Ashour, the former deputy of Cairo’s Al-Azhar Mosque, the Sunni Arab world’s most powerful institution, told Al-Arabiya TV immediately after the pope’s speech that, "It is not enough. He should apologize because he insulted the beliefs of Islam. He must apologize in a frank way and say he made a mistake." Mohammed al-Nujeimi, a professor at the Institute of Judicial and Islamic Studies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, also criticized the pope’s statement. "The pope does not want to apologize. He is evading apology and what he said today is a repetition of his previous statement," he told Al-Arabiya TV. VISIT TO TURKEY STILL ON The Vatican released a statement Saturday saying the pope "sincerely regrets" that Muslims were offended, but stopped short of the apology demanded by many Muslim leaders. But the leader of Egypt’s largest Islamic political group, the Muslim Brotherhood, said that "while anger over the Pope’s remarks is necessary, it shouldn’t last for long." "While he is the head of the Catholic Church in the world, many Europeans are not following (the church) so what he said won’t influence them. Our relations with Christians should remain good, civilized and cooperative," Mohammed Mahdi Akef told The Associated Press. Turkey’s foreign minister said Sunday the pope was still expected to visit in November in what would be his first trip to a Muslim nation. "From our point of view, there is no change," Abdullah Gul told reporters before departing for a trip to the United States. The Vatican’s secretary of state echoed Gul’s remarks. "I hope that he will do" the trip, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone was quoted as saying by the Italian news agency ANSA. "Until now, there are no reasons not to make it." Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier urged world religious leaders to show "responsibility and restraint" to avoid what he called "extremes" in relations between faiths. "We understand perfectly how sensitive this sphere is. I think it would be right if we call for responsibility and restraint from the leaders of all world faiths," he said during a meeting with parliamentary leaders from Group of Eight nations in the Russian resort city of Sochi. In his speech on Tuesday, Benedict quoted from a book recounting a conversation between 14th century Byzantine Christian Emperor Manuel Paleologos II and an educated Persian on the truths of Christianity and Islam. "The emperor comes to speak about the issue of jihad, holy war," the pope said. "He said, I quote, ’Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuma"’ The remarks sparked protests and some violence across parts of the Muslim world. I have seen different numbers by different scholars? Some claim that he had 9 wives, but they do not name them and I have seen claims that he had 29 wives, but not all at the same time because he divorced some of them. How many wives did he have and how many consorts? How many does the Koran say that you can have? #2 - Did he sometimes have sex with all his wives in one night? Yes it is true. " ----- PROTESTANTS LOOKING TO VIRGIN MARY GODDESS - MOVE OVER, JESUS Chick Publications October 2006 - When mainline Protestant denominations abandoned belief that the Bible is God's perfect word, many errors began to creep in. Recently Episcopal, Presbyterian and Lutheran conventions spent much time discussing the role of homosexual leaders in their ranks. Appeals to the Bible truth by conservative members were ignored and denominational leaders were installed who were living as open sodomites and favoring homosexual marriage. Another issue is bigger than that one: the question of Mary's role in salvation. Last year, Time magazine devoted several pages to the question of "Mary for Protestants?" Some pastors, coming out of the liberal seminaries, are elevating the Roman Catholic Virgin Mary goddess by introducing statues and "veneration" of her. They are buying into the Catholic perspective. First was the lie that Roman Catholicism is not a cult but another denomination with some different worship "traditions." When Protestants bought this, the next step was: "Let's work together on the 'cultural issues' that we can agree on such as opposition to abortion and homosexuality." In the meantime, a flurry of new Bible translations began to appear, all based on the flawed Roman Catholic manuscripts.* These have caused so much confusion that many churches no longer believe that we have a perfect Bible. For example, some Bible colleges are breaking affiliation with the Southern Baptist Convention because denomination leaders are requesting that the schools teach a literal interpretation of the Bible. Now comes the move to include worship of Mary. Some people have been trying to put a feminine face on God by producing "inclusive" bibles eliminating many of the masculine references to God. Catholicism found it easier to just add another deity, a female "goddess." For centuries, Catholic tradition has elevated their Virgin Mary to goddess stature. First she was "mother of all mankind." Then, since Jesus was God and she was His mother, she picked up the title, "Mother of God." Millions of Catholics pray to her every day for all kinds of favors. Only a divinity could hear them all and deal with them individually. No mere human has that ability. Then in the 1850s the pope decided that she was born without sin: "immaculately conceived." In 1950 she was declared to have been "assumed" into heaven without corruption of the body. Now there is a petition with over a million signatures before the pope to declare her "mediatrix" and "co-redemptrix" with Jesus. So, just who IS this "Virgin Mary?" The account of the lowly virgin in the Bible who bore our Savior bears little resemblance to this exalted being who gets a special pass into heaven, receives prayers, mediates with a stern God, and appears in thousands of apparitions all over the world. Author David Daniels, after in-depth research, proves that this modern day goddess is none other than a spiritual reincarnation of the ancient Babylonian Semiramis. It may have taken 440 years from Cromwell's foundational declaration, but entry in 1973 to the 'European Economic Community' brought England back into the Catholic fold, and exactly 460 years after the English monarch was declared sovereign, the present Queen was reduced to vassal status under the terms of the Maastricht Treaty, which rendered her a European citizen and thereby subject to 'foreign princes and potentates'... While the EU has adopted many symbols of nationhood (a passport, flag, anthem and currency) and is now moving towards the attributes of government (a president, foreign secretary, global ambassadors at the UN and G8), it follows that, since Europe has no unified demos, a 'deeper' cohesive force is necessary to hold the whole project together. The mass comes on the second day of the Pope's visit to Syria and follows a day of meetings with Syrian religious and political leaders. Pope John Paul ended his first day in Syria with a meeting aimed at healing a 1,000-year-old rift with eastern Christian churches. The Pope Saturday evening met with leaders of the Greek and Syrian Orthodox and Catholic churches in Syria and pledged to work for union with the Vatican. Greek Orthodox Patriarch Ignatius the Fourth spoke of past injustices by western Christians against the Orthodox. But the Greek Orthodox patriarch prayed for a renewed dialogue, that would be sincere, deep and loving. The Pontiff responded in French with a similar call. The Pope said he was praying for the peaceful unification of the churches as one flock under a single shepherd. He indicated he hoped one day the churches would celebrate Easter together. The Pope was warmly welcomed to Syria Saturday morning by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and the country's political, religious and tribal leaders. President al-Assad praised the Pontiff for his efforts on behalf of the oppressed and, through an interpreter, criticized the recent violence in the region. "So we see our brothers in Palestine being killed and tortured. We see that justice is being violated, lands are being occupied in Lebanon, the Golan and Palestine," he said. President al-Assad called for a halt to the killing, for the return of land seized from the Arabs and for the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The Pope responded, lamenting that calls for peace in the region have been dashed in waves of violence and calling for a new attitude among Christians, Muslims and Jews. "Real peace can only be achieved if there is a new attitude of understanding between the followers of the three Abrahamic religions," he said. The Pope said it is time to return to the principles of international legality, halt the acquisition of territory by force and promote the right of self-determination. In this regard, he said among the most important principles are the respect for U.N. resolutions and the Geneva Convention on human rights. The Pontiff is to meet with Muslim leaders Sunday evening at the ancient Omayyad Mosque, the first such visit by a by a Pope in history. End of note] Dear Pastor, ABC's Rosie O'Donnell told a nationwide audience this week that "radical Christians" are the same as radical Muslims who piloted hijacked jetliners into New York's Twin Towers, who chop off the heads of individuals and who bomb innocent children in suicide attacks. O'Donnell made her comments as host of ABC's "The View." "Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America where we have separation of church and state." [Ednote: obviously O'Donnell is not up on what is going on with church and state. The church has merged into Homeland Security to serve the state according to an Executive Order by President George W Bush recently. The Christian Right are not fundamental Christians.] O'Donnell said. She had been saying that America was attacked "not by a nation." She continued: "And as a result of the attack and the killing of 3,000 innocent people, we invaded two countries and killed innocent people." Even her liberal co-hosts were shocked by her comments. Co-host Joy Behar protested that Christians are not trying to impose mass murder on America. "This group (radical Muslims) is threatening to kill us." Replied O'Donnell: "No, but we are bombing innocent people in other countries. True or false?" O'Donnell was saying there is no difference between the radical Muslims who kill in the name of Allah and Bible-believing Christians who follow the teachings of Jesus. The WSJ article even backed it up by documenting that Church Transitions conducted their program right at Warren's Saddleback Church, making it impossible for him to squirm out of it or say that it happened at another church...so therefore not his fault. Workers clearing rubble in a service tunnel underneath one of the collapsed World Trade Centre buildings found themselves surrounded by more than 100 armed FBI and secret service personnel, who had been tipped off by the owners where the gold was buried. The collapsed buildings contained a number of vaults and strongrooms, but the police were not saying who owned the gold. The Comex metals trading division of the New York Mercantile Exchange kept 3,800 gold bars — weighing 12 tonnes and worth more than $100 million (£70 million) — in vaults in the building’s basement. Comex also held almost 800,000 ounces of gold there on behalf of others with a value of about $220 million. It also held more than 102 million ounces of silver, worth $430 million. The Bank of Nova Scotia, which kept gold in the Comex vault, reported $200 million of gold lost in the wreckage. Comex also held precious metals for Chase Manhattan Bank, the Bank of New York and Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking. The vaults higher up the towers became burial chambers on September 11 as some workers tried in vain to protect themselves from the fire and smoke by taking refuge inside them. The gold, which was discovered on Tuesday, was being transported through the basement of the building on the morning of September 11. Recovery workers reached a service tunnel and discovered a ten-wheel lorry and a number of cars which had been crushed by falling steel. A temporary ramp was built to gain access to the tunnel and a small bulldozer was used to break through a wall. Then a team of police and firefighters arrived to put the gold into an armoured bullion lorry. Other workers were told to make themselves scarce. “If I tried to go down there they would have shot me,” one said. Eight years ago, when the World Trade Centre was bombed by terrorists, more than $1 billion in gold was being kept in the basement vaults, the property of the Kuwaiti Government. Security Council moves to hit Tehran with sanctions over its atomic ambitions. The European Union's Javier Solana will want Iran's Ali Larijani to clarify hints, made in an August 22 reply to an offer of incentives to stop enriching uranium, that Tehran could curb its nuclear fuel program if engaged in negotiations. But a diplomat familiar with the Iranian position said Larijani was likely to insist Iran would not suspend enrichment as a precondition for negotiations, and that looming Security Council action was only poisoning prospects for agreement. The failure of both sides to agree an exact time and venue for the talks less than 24 hours before their expected start betrayed a war of nerves intensifying since Iran ignored a Security Council deadline of August 31 to halt enrichment work. The Solana-Larijani encounter was originally slated for Wednesday but postponed at the last minute. Washington said on Friday the meeting would take place in Vienna but that it also expected the Council to begin deliberations next week on a draft sanctions resolution. But key EU allies and Russia and China among the six world powers handling Iran's case voiced growing doubt about the speed with which Washington wanted to pursue punitive action against Tehran, its arch-foe but also the world's No. 4 oil exporter. Iran insists it wants only nuclear-generated electricity. Western powers suspect the work is a smokescreen for efforts to build atom bombs. The accompanying announcement that 14 "high value" terrorism detainees - including top Al Qaeda planners of 9/11 - are being moved from secret CIA prisons to the US military prison in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, puts a face on his plan for trials. Bush's speeches demonstrate the power of the presidential bully pulpit, even for a chief executive struggling in the polls. And in the first week of the fall campaign, marked by the traditional Labor Day kickoff, they confirm a political strategy long telegraphed by Bush adviser Karl Rove: to make heavy use of the terrorism issue for the third election in a row. The question now is whether the increasingly unpopular war in Iraq - long framed as a central front in the war on terror - will undo the White House's goal of portraying Republicans as more capable than Democrats of defending the nation. For the Democrats, who control neither the White House nor Congress, the task is to convince enough voters in key congressional races to make the leap for change. The system relies on an implant the size of a grain of rice, which VeriChip claims has an encrypted 16-digit identification number. Philbin said only proprietary RFID readers can decipher the number, which is then entered into a secure database. A login name and password are required to access the database on a secure Web site, Philbin said, adding that the system is more secure and more effective than things people normally carry in their wallets. Like overall participation, the amount of information attached to the identification number is at the discretion of individuals who volunteer for the program, Philbin said. That could be limited to the most basic information, like name and telephone number, or it could contain advance directives, organ donor status and more. The structural engineer from Buffalo Grove, Ill., argues the other side of 2006's Great Immigration Debate - that the US needs to send home illegal immigrants and gain better control of its borders - but he says he cannot believe Congress is punting on immigration reform. He's been writing letters to his congressman and senators and says he may not vote in November or he may vote for a third-party or write-in candidate. The decision by congressional leaders not to try to bridge the big gulf between the House and Senate versions of immigration reform, at least not before the November midterm elections, is touching off a backlash that may deliver a sting to some incumbent lawmakers. How big the backlash grows may not be known until the day after the election, but it's surfacing in blogs, letters to the editor, and record-low approval ratings for Capitol Hill. "When you have both Bob Novak and David Broder writing the same column about Congress's failure to act on immigration, you know something is wrong," says Tamar Jacoby, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute in New York, referring to two well-known columnists who typically have very different views. "People on both the right and left will see it as a huge failure" if Congress ends its term without a bill. Certainly, many Americans are worked up over immigration. The issue sparked huge rallies and marches in the spring, and has been the subject of endless Lou Dobbs reports. Over the summer, House leaders held hearings on immigration all over the country. But now, with inaction on the Hill, some businesses are mobilizing. A few national groups - like the Associated General Contractors of America - say they'll stop campaign contributions to lawmakers who take hard-line stances on immigration controls, according to The Wall Street Journal. The Texas Produce Association has said people may have to get used to an "outsourced" industry, with more growing done in Mexico, if Congress doesn't produce a bill. "It's frustrating and troubling and bad for the country" that Congress hasn't taken action, says Ray Prewett, executive vice president of the Texas Vegetable Association. He adds that growers need at least a guest-worker program to enable them to harvest their crops. It angers him that Republicans in the House seem to have hardened in their opposition to compromise. If the backlash to inaction proves to be a big one, it would probably hit Republican lawmakers, who control both houses of Congress, the hardest, observers say. Democrats hope to use that image of a "do-nothing" Congress under Republican leadership. But Republicans have presumably done the math and are calculating that voters who want a crackdown on illegal immigration would rather have no bill than a bill that offers any version of amnesty. In state legislatures, almost 550 bills concerning immigrants have been introduced this year, and 33 have been enacted, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. "It's a domino effect," says John Keeley, a spokesman for the Center for Immigration Studies, which advocates restricting immigration. "Washington's at a stalemate, but the fact is there's large-scale illegal immigration, attendant crime, school overcrowding - all this stuff going on. At the state and local level, they don't have the luxury of filibustering." Part of the impasse, say observers, has to do with the Republican Party's split stance on the issue. "If they don't act, this has been their signature priority and the president's signature priority this year, and they look like idiots," says Norman Ornstein, a residential scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and coauthor of "The Broken Branch: How Congress Is Failing America and How to Get It Back on Track." Advocates on both sides claim public-opinion majorities, with some pointing to polls showing that between two-thirds and three- quarters of the public favors a combination of enforcement and a path to citizenship. Others note that far more Americans think immigration should be decreased, than increased. If fact, the security-only voices have been getting stronger, especially in some key districts, and many Republicans maintain they're better off with no bill than with a compromise involving some path to citizenship. And it's still possible that Congress will pass some smaller enforcement bills, increasing the resources for border security, in lieu of comprehensive reform. But critics say that strategy is shortsighted and ignores the growing numbers of Latino voters. "It seems to me like they're running an incredible risk," says Angela Kelley, deputy director of the National Immigration Forum, which favors reform more along the lines of the Senate's version. The carnage of battle will end up in your digestive tract along with the victorious live viruses, which the FDA assures us will not attack human cells. However, they cannot possibly be certain the viruses will not attack the friendly bacteria that make up the lining of your digestive tract. The FDA approval was based on scant human testing, mostly from unrelated medical experiments. Such safety data is woefully inadequate to determine safe ingestion of a specific product by humans over the course of a lifetime. TURNING LOOSE THE BACTERIA-KILLING VIRUSES The company that produces these biotech viruses is Baltimore-based Intralytix, Inc. The viruses are known as bacteriophages, viruses that kill bacteria, or phages for short. Phages have been around a long time, living as parasites inside many bacteria. Intralytix uses biotechnology to grow viral phages in a culture with Listeria, in theory teaching the viruses to recognize the bacteria. The FDA-approved cocktail contains six different viruses intended to attack one strain of bacteria. This concoction is then sprayed on food. If Listeria is present in the food, the bacteria will ingest the viruses. This results in massive viral replication inside the bacteria, until such point as the bacteria simply bursts.
