- And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD'S
sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children,
and all such as are clothed with strange apparel. In the same
day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold,
which fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit. And
it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there
shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling
from the second, and a great crashing from the hills. Howl, ye
inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down;
all they that bear silver are cut off.
- And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will
search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled
on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do
good, neither will he do evil. Therefore their goods shall become
a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build
houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards,
but not drink the wine thereof.
- The great day of the LORD
is near, it is near,
and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the
LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a
day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness
and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds
and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the
fenced cities, and against the high towers.
- And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall
walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD:
and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh
as the dung. Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able
to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole
land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall
make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land."

this ministry. We were Mormons (Temple Mormons) for 20 years.
We prayed to God in 1992 to allow us to do a ministry speaking
out against Scientology. Six months later God led us to the truth:
out of the cult of Mormonism. We did not know at the time we
were in a cult. No-one had witnessed to us in 20 years.
- The Holy Spirit brought us to information about all the cults
and the present development of the New World Order. We began
bringing our research to you. Because all the research was already
done, we decided to build a library within Cephas Ministry. Our
newsletters are not designed to provoke
anger which is strictly prohibited in Scripture. It is to shed
light on activities by those who would deceive those who are
recorded in the Book of Life by devious methods and systematic

The focus of these newsletters is to prove why we had to leave

God always had during the Old / New Testament Times.

The news about churches is unedited unless indicated by Ednotes.
The church as we knew it, is undergoing disintegration. This
began on a fast track in the early nineteen sixties when the
Catholic Church produced liberal Vatican II to replace Vatican
I.
- The trend since then has been ecumenical which is truly what
the word 'Catholicism' means: a universal religion all
inclusive and multicultural. The Bible calls for a final church
and today's church doesn't resemble what Jesus taught. The Word
of God has undergone many changes to fit the progressive modes.
Many new Bible tranlations have brought confusion. The Bible
calls for a falling away from the truth before
Jesus comes back for His Bride. The true believers are called
'Ekklesia.' Our newsletters prove this fact and prove that the
Bible is true from beginning to end.
- The second section is about globalism
where we bring your attention to the social, political and global
trend, the so called democratizing what is left of the world.
This is a deception since the underlying new world global government
is developed by implementing sustainable development. The
Bible prophesies that there will be ten kings (ten horns), each
king (horn) will receive a region of the world as a reward for
work well done for the Antichrist. This is the reason for the
present development of NAU (The North American Union) as well
as the war in the Middle East. It again proves that we are moving
to closure of the times of the Gentiles prophesied in the Bible.
The end result will not be Democracy but a form of Fascist Communism
(Public/Private Corporations enslaving mankind).
- The third section compliments End Time
teachings because Israel is the time piece of the Biblical Prophecy.
1948 was the beginning of the figtree representing Israel, coming
back to life. Israel was allowed to return to its land. Israel
is the rock upon which the world stumbles and crumbles. We watch
and visit Israel for signs which point to the Tribulation to
confirm that we are moving into that space of time.

and newsletters whenever it is possible time wise. We love the
Lord with all our hearts and minds and we love all people God
has created but especially those who love our Lord and Savior,

- INTRODUCTION
- To read this book requires love for the Gospel, if you don't
you might as well put it away because you'll simply think it
foolishness. The book proves that biblical truth is indeed truth
that sustains us. No matter what happens to us we land on our
feet and move on knowing we are only passing through. The world
is irrelevant. What is relevant is our eternal life, where we'll
spend it in heaven or hell. All human beings have eternal life
but where they will spend it is the question.
This book will reveal the resistance we are up against in our
enemy Satan who only works to undermine believers in Christ Jesus
because Satan knows where he is going and wants all of humanity
to join him. Those who already have sworn their allegiance to
Satan are no problem to him. Like Jesus Christ, who preached
only three years, was crucified because Satan hated Him, we become
the object of Satan's hatred as well. Had Jesus weakened and
let Satan tempt Him, He would have been King of this world for
a season and the whole world would have ended up in hell forever.
Every man, woman, and child's salvation hung on one man. To prove
to us that we can depend on Him forever, He weakened Himself
by fasting 40 days before He was confronted with the offer to
possess the whole world. If He was 100% human and 100% Spirit,
He experienced everything humans do, yet gave Himself to be humiliated,
be bled and died for our sakes who are completely undeserving
as you will see in this book.
God knows our lot, that we have no chance of making it to Heaven
on our own. We can try as hard as we want; Satan derails us at
every turn without God's intervention. Most of us believe that
we are good people and would not hurt anyone, go to church on
Sunday and earn our wages by the sweat of our brow. That is well
and good, but we tend to be rebels spiritually. We want to do
it our way instead of studying the Bible we read other books
and listen to evangelists in the hope that's going to get us

- THE TESTIMONY
by Harold Smith - Jerusalem, Israel - "..... The Testimony
IS the Presence of YHVH.
- 1) those who, in Yeshua's example, have proved the strength
& genuineness of their faith. There are only two places where
scripture says God breathed on men. The first is in Genesis with
Adam (Genesis 2:7 - the physical Israel) and the second was with
the disciples immediately after Yeshua was resurrected (John
20:22 - the spiritual Israel). In Yeshua was the culmination
of both the physical and the spiritual. When we embrace the Life
of Yeshua, guess what - we get breathed upon (Job 33:4). We get
the Breath of Life. We get all of Who God Is dwelling within
us. This is not mystical, ethereal, wispy, maybe someday, by
and by, over yonder, pie in the sky, wish I may, wish I might,
if I be real good tonight, get there - this is REAL. Right here,
right now, in you - Power. It is the SAME Power that rose Yeshua
from the grave - Power that quickens, gives life to our mortal
bodies (Romans 8:11). It is the same Power that was manifested
in the Life of Yeshua (John 10:25).
- So, then, how does that Power become manifested in us? Really
- how do we "work" it to make it real in our lives
today? It comes first with knowledge, a 'knowing' of Truth (John
17:3), therefore, it begins with knowing Who He Is in Truth (Hosea
4:6). Yeshua said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Or,
to put it in a different wording, the only Way to come into the
Presence of Truth is through the embrace of the Life that He
lived as an example for us to follow. His was a Life lived in
the Presence of the Father. Scripture says He didn't DO anything
unless He first saw and heard the Father do it (John 5:19). The
Power is in the Presence of the Father. So, then, the question
becomes, "how do I remain in the Presence of the Father?"
- First, we must come to an understanding of what the Way into
His Presence is. Yeshua, who lived in the Presence of the Father,
said, "If any one would come after Me, let Him (1) deny
himself, (2) take up his cross daily, and (3) follow me"
(Luke 9:23). He went on to say in Matthew 10:38) that if we didn't
take up our cross daily, we are not worthy of Him. Worthy comes
from the Greek word axios meaning having the weight of another
thing of like value, worth as much. It is not a guilt-thing but
connotates more of receiving the same fullness of measure as
He did. This is the exercise. Three simple steps that become
a life-long challenge to maintain - not achieve, maintain.
- The Power we have access to is surrounded by a tightly-guarded
hedge. That hedge is one of self-denial. We must be willing to
forsake everything we consider important or self-gratifying in
order to access that Power. The means by which we deny ourselves
is by dying to those desires on a daily basis (nailing them to
the cross) and to follow Him. The Greek word for 'follow' is
akoloutheo and means to cleave steadfastly to one, to conform
wholly to his example, in living and, if need be, in dying also...

- THE TRINITY NATURE OF GOD
Basic Bible Doctrine
Dear Friends in Christ,
The origin of the word "Trinity" as it applies to the
nature of God goes back a long time.
trinity according to Etymology.com is as follows:
c.1225, "the Father, Son and Holy Spirit," constituting
one God in prevailing Christian doctrine, from O.Fr. trinite
(11c.), from L. trinitatem (nom. trinitas) "Trinity, triad"
(Tertullian), from trinus "threefold, triple," from
pl. of trini "three at a time, threefold," related
to tres (neut. tria) "three." The L. word was widely
borrowed in European languages with the rise of Christianity
Many people have wondered about what is meant by the Trinity
Nature of God, and there has been a lot of misunderstanding about
it throughout History. Perhaps the best way to understand the
Trinity(tri-unity) of God is by just examining the Bible Verses
which God has provided to explain Himself, and then believing
these verses. This is the way we have to "understand"
many things in the Bible that are beyond our ability to grasp
them. You don't need to do a lot of mental or verbal gymnastics
to explain the verses and thus the Trinity of God: you just need
to mix the these verses with faith just believe what God has
revealed in the Scriptures, and then accept them as truth.
Remember that these verses are mutually "inclusive",
that is they add to and supplement each other. One mistake people
make about the Trinity is to take one statement about God eg.

- Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus
Christ.
- I am so excited to send mail what God has done in our church.
Every month 12th we are conducting special prayer meeting with
Holy Communion. Especially this month we have given baptism for
two people, one sister and one brother got baptized. I am sending
those pictures as an attachment. Sister name is H... it’s
a miracle to see that she is submitting her life to God and taking
baptism, she neglected word of God so many times, we prayed several
times and shared gospel of Christ to her and finally through
our prayers God had answered our prayers in marvelous way. The
brother name is N... who is working in a hotel. He doesn’t
belongs to Christian community he is from Hindu community, he
use to tie idol ritual bands to his hand and use to hang some
idolatry chains around his neck and he use to worship idols do
all types of idolatry, that person heard the gospel of Christ
while we are doing evangelism and he repented and got baptized

- The following is excerpted from the excellent book The European
Union and the Supra-Religion by Robert Congdon (Congdon Ministries,

"[T]he European Union's flag ... is described as having
a blue background, portraying the sky over the western world,
and upon this 'sky' is a 'circle of gold stars [which] represents
solidarity and harmony between the peoples of Europe. ... a spokesman
for the European Union 'pointed out that the circle of twelve
stars was a Christian symbol representing the Virgin Mary's halo.'
... Leon Marchal offered an understanding of the twelve stars
when he said that they symbolized 'the woman of the Apocalypse'
of Revelation 12. When the flag's designer, Arsene Heitz of Strasbourg,
was questioned regarding the interpretation of the flag's design,
he indicated that he based his design upon the iconography of
the image of the Immaculate Conception of Mary as seen in Paris'
Rue du Bac. [There] on November 27, 1830, Catherine Laboure had
an apparition of Mary standing on a globe of the world while

and radio talk show hosts are beside themselves at the stupidity
of the Obama administration, and rightly so. We, too, bewail
the squander of America's wealth, the weakening of her military,
the traitorous, despicable mishandling of the CIA, the celebration
of moral wickedness, the encroachment of constitutional liberties,
the blind commitment to environmental myths, and so much more.
While Bush conducted a war on terrorism (though he didn't really
take off the gloves), Obama appears to be conducting a war on
the war on terrorism. All of these things, though, are mere symptoms
of a deeper problem, one that very few of the conservative pundits
understand. America's root problem is the apostasy and compromise
of her churches. The problem is not in the White House; it is
in God's house. America is not a Christian nation, but America
was founded largely by church-going, God-fearing people and the
majority of her citizens are still professing Christians. The
root of America's woes is spiritual. The people don't fear God
because the churches don't preach the fear of God. For that reason
the issue can't be solved by political action and moralistic
crusades and Republican or Libertarian rants. I am thankful for
the watchdog role of the conservative media and for the fact
that there is a viable alternative media today, but the best
thing Bible-believing Christians can do to help America is to
seek God's face and purify our individual lives and congregations
and keep our focus on Christ's Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
A man that has not submitted himself to the gospel of Jesus Christ
but who follows false religion such as Catholicism (Sean Hannity,
Bill O'Reilly, Laura Ingraham, Michael Reagan), Judaism (Michael
Medved, Mark Levin, and Dennis Prager), and Mormonism (Glenn
Beck), or who believes the Bible contains myths and denies Christ's
blood atonement (Rush Limbaugh and Neal Boortz) does not have
the spiritual wisdom necessary to understand the times, and Bible
believers would be wise not to drink deeply of such wells. "Woe
unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of
his hands shall be given him. As for my people, children are
their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they
which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy
paths" (Isaiah 3:11-12). If the biblical churches in America
would take this matter seriously and call for some special prayer
meetings, for fasting and earnest prayer, falling on their faces
and confessing their sins, God would probably hear and turn back
the tide of wickedness and give us more years. Instead, though,
for the most part it is business as usual, and if anything at
all is being done it is a misguided attempt to address the situation
according to the flesh rather than the spirit, by politics and
rantings and anger and fear and frustration and worldly demonstrations
and unscriptural associations. "For the weapons of our warfare

the U.S. Congress aims to pass a federal "hate crimes"
law that will give special protection to homosexuals and "leave
Christian ministers and pastors open to prosecution should their
teachings be linked to any subsequent offense, by anyone, against
a "gay" ("House Agrees to Muzzle Pastors,"
WorldNetDaily, April 30, 2009). On April 30, the House of Representatives
approved hate crimes legislation by a vote of 249-175. The bill
adds "sexual orientation" and "gender identity"
to the current classes protected from hate crimes. Such laws
have brought persecution wherever they have been enacted, including
Canada, Australia, and Sweden. The House Republicans were unable
to hold back the hate crimes tidal wave, though some of them
tried. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., said H.R. 1913 will create "thought
crimes." Trent Franks, R-Ariz., said it will end equality
in the United States, and Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, said it will
divide America into groups of more favored versus less. Gohmert
cited USC Title 18, Section 2a, the foundation of the legislation,
which says anyone who through speech "induces" commission
of a violent hate crime "will be tried as a principal"
alongside the active offender. The legislation now goes to the
Senate, where it is being pushed by Sens. Edward Kennedy and
Patrick Leahy. President Bush vowed to veto the bill had it passed
under his watch, but Obama will doubtless sign it. He has urged
Congress to act "this important civil rights issue."
This is a serious matter, and God's people need to be in earnest
prayer. The House rejected an amendment that pedophilia was not
covered in the bill, so who knows what moral perversion will
gain special protection under this wicked law. Once homosexuality
is protected by law, the biblical concept of morality is finished
as a legal force in the land and there is nothing left but the
fearful judgment of Almighty God. "I exhort therefore, that,
first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving
of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are
in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in

the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Chicago depicts Mary on top
of the Ark of the Covenant. Her hands are outstretched and two
angels are kneeling before her. The monstrance, called "Our
Lady of the Shrine, Ark of Mercy," was dedicated on May
31, 2008 (Catholic News Service, June 10, 2008). This is pure
blasphemy. The Ark of the Covenant was located in the Holy of
Holies in the Old Testament Tabernacle and was the place where
God's presence dwelt (Exodus 25:22). Angels do not worship creatures

Obama didn't lie when he promised CHANGE. He just didn't define
it. Nor did he explain the basis for his HOPE. Today, with a
bit of hindsight, the fog is lifting and we see the immediate
future more clearly. Both words imply a shift away from the foundational
truths and values of America. As Communist nations have determined,
man's hope must rest in a useful worldly vision, not in the disturbing
distraction of the Biblical God or other-worldly heaven.
- Today, CHANGE and HOPE point to a New World Order -- a virtual
utopia where the masses would eventually enjoy peace, pluralism,
parity and the promise of universal welfare. Both slogans serve
as bait to draw the masses into a web of deception.
- As in Orwell's Animal Farm, the spreading tentacles of Marxian
socialism implies two classes of people: the equally poor masses
and their wealthy "more equal" rulers. In full control,
the latter jet around in selfish pursuits and barely notice the
supposed "carbon footprints" that others must forfeit.
Meanwhile the equally poor (new "middle class") may
struggle to put food on the table. [See box] Might that describe
the future nation-state of America?
- A recent article in the Russian Pravda titled "American
capitalism gone with a whimper" has been spreading a somber
view of this nation. Unlike it's old Soviet-era namesake, this
new Pravda may actually be telling the truth. It reminds us that
the current transformation, which has now become all too visible,
actually began long ago. Most of its message can be verified,
as you will see in the links and facts that follow these excerpts:

breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless
sheeple.... The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our

- The Pope called on the laity to become more aware of their
role when he inaugurated Tuesday an ecclesial conference for
the Diocese of Rome on "Church Membership and Pastoral Co-responsibility."
The conference is under way through Friday. "There should
be a renewed becoming aware of our being Church and of the pastoral
co-responsibility that, in the name of Christ, all of us are
called to carry out," the Holy Father said. This co-responsibility
should advance "respect for vocations and for the functions
of consecrated persons and laypeople," he added. The Pontiff
acknowledged that this requires a "change of mentality,"
especially regarding laypeople, shifting from "considering
themselves collaborators of the clergy to recognizing themselves
truly as 'co-responsible' for the being and action of the Church,
favoring the consolidation of a mature and committed laity."

- BAPTISTS FORCED TO CUT MISSIONARY RANKS
- Churches try to fill gaps as donations drop - By Bob Smietana
- STAFF WRITER - A decline in giving will force the Southern
Baptist Convention to reduce its worldwide missionary force,
leaving fewer men and women to share their faith and skills around
the globe. In 2008 Southern Baptists gave $141 million to the
denomination's annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, which provides
about half of the funding for Southern Baptist missions. That's
a drop of $9 million from the previous year and $29 million below
the International Mission Board's goal.
- In Tennessee, Lottie Moon donations fell by about 8 percent,
down from $10,038,656 last year to $9,174,973. The Lottie Moon
offering is named for a Southern Baptist missionary who served
in China during the 1800s.
- "It's indicative of the challenging economic times,"
said James Porch, executive director-treasurer of the Tennessee
Baptist Convention. "Churches, associations and state conventions
are all struggling."
- Southern Baptists, the largest Protestant denomination in
the U.S., have missionaries on six continents. They share their
Christian faith and start new churches. But they also lend vocational
help in the areas they serve. Some are doctors, accountants and
teachers, said Wendy Norvelle, mission board spokeswoman.
- "We do a lot of community development work, drilling
wells and developing agricultural projects," Norvelle said.
"We appoint people with skills in everything from accounting
to zoology.''

by Roland Joffe on the right. The British film-maker Roland Joffe,
who made his mark with his religious drama The Mission about

more controversial chapter in the history of Catholicism: Opus
Dei. Joffe is to recreate the life and miracles of Jose Maria
Escriva de Balaguer, the Spanish priest who founded one of the
most influential and secretive organisations within the Catholic
church, and was canonised in 2002. The film seems set to stir
up more controversy, following in the wake of several screen
hits tapping into public fascination with tales of Opus-inspired
crimes and conspiracies, which have set Vatican chasubles aflap.
The Opus furiously condemned the blockbusting Da Vinci Code in
2006, and its sequel Angels and Demons currently topping the
bestseller lists. Opus members were banned from seeing or talking
about Javier Fesser's award-winning Camino, 2008, about the cult
of suffering. By contrast, Joffe's There be Dragons has received
Opus Dei's blessing. "The film team asked us for help in
gathering information and we gave them access to the documentation.
That's the beginning and end of our collaboration with this film,"

- Phyllis Tickle, an Episcopalian lay "Eucharistic minister
and lector" and a Senior Fellow at Cathedral College at
the liberal Washington National Cathedral, is an influential
voice in the emerging church and the contemplative prayer movement.
Tickle promotes non-verbal contemplative praying. She says, "The
whole business of entering prayer WITHOUT THE VEHICLE OF WORDS
is very important, for it allows the spirit to flow freely with
the spirit of God, and does not have to articulate what is happening
until one comes out from prayer" ("Praying in Color:

Wordless meditation is not biblical prayer; it is a pagan practice
that is a recipe for demonic deception. Those who practice it
are invariably led into heresies. It should not be surprising,
then, that Tickle believes in a female God and calls the Holy
Spirit "he or she or it." She teaches that by partaking
of the Lord's Supper the believer is feeding God and reinvigorating
the Holy Spirit, whatever that means. Speaking at Rob Bell's
Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she said: "God
is both male and female. God is both father and mother. ... There
is more than one thing under the name of God, and it is both
male and female. ... As we are about to do that [take the Lord's
supper], let us remember what we are doing. We not only celebrate
that death and that promise of return, but we are feeding by
eating God--which is what we are doing here--by eating the body
and blood of our God, we are feeding the God within us. For as
we take those elements the Spirit also feeds within us and is
reinvigorated as he or she or it is by our faith" (Tickle,

- Cross Pointe Church, Duluth, Georgia, hosted an environmental
conference May 13-15. Jonathan Merritt, who serves on the staff
of the mega-church under his father, James, is a lead organizer
of the conference and national spokesman for the Southern Baptist
Environmental and Climate Change Initiative. In March 2008 they
issued a declaration criticizing the Southern Baptist Convention
for being "too timid on issues of the environment and climate
change" ("SBC Official Applauds Environmental Conference,"
Associated Baptist Press, May 18, 2009). It was signed by current
SBC president Johnny Hunt. A member of the SBC's' Ethics &
Religious Liberty Commission, Barrett Duke, commended the conference
for saying that "climate change is important" and confessed
that he hasn't done all that he should or could to care for the
earth. He congratulated the conference for trying to find "a
way to bring all of God's people together in an effort that really
does matter." James Merritt, a former president of the SBC,
told the conference that he is a convert to the concept of creation
care. He said, "We ought to motivate every follower of Christ
in the church to be at the forefront of creation care" ("Former
SBC President Embraces," Associated Baptist Press, May 18,
2009). In 2008, Jonathan Merritt told the press that one of his
professors at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary made
the statement "that when we destroy creation, which is God's
revelation, it is no different than tearing a page out of the
Bible" ("Baptists: No Change on Climate Change,"
WorldNetDaily, March 13, 2008). Merritt said that this statement
inspired him to launch the campaign to produce stronger action
within the Southern Baptist Convention against climate change.
What I find interesting here is not this misguided seminarian's
actions but the fact that he was inspired by a heretical statement
by one of his professors. Scripture does say that God speaks
through creation, that it is a light to mankind (Romans 1:20;
Psalm 19:1-6). But it nowhere likens creation to the Bible or
even hints that to "destroy creation," whatever that
might mean, would be like ripping pages from the Bible. That
is truly preposterous. Further, to say that if we don't buy into
the mythical global warming frenzy that we are destroying creation
and/or sinning against God is even more preposterous. What Merritt
needs to do is get busy obeying what Jesus Christ explicitly
told us to do, which is "preach the gospel to every creature,"
and that does not mean the trees! And what Southeastern Seminary
needs to do is find out that teacher's name and fire him. The
fact is that Southern Baptist seminaries are full of heresies.

- NOVARTIS SAYS IT PRODUCES FIRST BATCH OF H1N1 VACCINE
 June 12, 2009 - BASEL, Switzerland
– Swiss pharmaceuticals company Novartis AG said Friday
it has successfully produced a first batch of swine flu vaccine
weeks ahead of expectations. The vaccine was made in cells, rather
than grown in eggs as is usually the case with vaccines, the
company said.
- The announcement comes a day after the World Health Organization
declared swine flu, also known as A(H1N1), a pandemic. The move
indicates that a global outbreak is under way. WHO says drugmakers
will likely have vaccines approved and ready for sale after September.
Novartis said it would use the first batch of vaccine for pre-clinical
evaluation and testing. It is also being considered for clinical
trials, the company said. The vaccine was produced at a Novartis
plant in Marburg, Germany. Novartis said the facility could potentially
produce millions of doses of vaccine a week. A second plant is
being built in Holly Springs, North Carolina, the company said.
Novartis said more than 30 governments have requested vaccine
supplies, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service,

too. Prime Minister Putin, less than two months ago, warned Obama
and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads

- WISCONSIN COURT UPHOLDS GPS TRACKING BY POLICE

- Wisconsin police can attach GPS to cars to secretly track anybody’s
movements without obtaining search warrants, an appeals court
ruled Thursday. However, the District 4 Court of Appeals said
it was “more than a little troubled” by that conclusion
and asked Wisconsin lawmakers to regulate GPS use to protect
against abuse by police and private individuals. As the law currently
stands, the court said police can mount GPS on cars to track
people without violating their constitutional rights – even
if the drivers aren’t suspects. Officers do not need to
get warrants beforehand because GPS tracking does not involve
a search or a seizure, Judge Paul Lundsten wrote for the unanimous
three-judge panel based in Madison. That means “police are
seemingly free to secretly track anyone’s public movements
with a GPS device,” he wrote. One privacy advocate said
the decision opened the door for greater government surveillance
of citizens. Meanwhile, law enforcement officials called the
decision a victory for public safety because tracking devices
are an increasingly important tool in investigating criminal

- HOW THE POP CULTURE HAS DUMBED DOWN SOCIETY

roll pop culture has been dumbing down society since its inception
in the 1950s. The pop culture image of cool is the individual
who excels in foolishness, the Elvis Presleys, the James Deans,
the John Lennons, the rock & roll playboys, the Hollywood
starlets. Influential pop culture movies such as "Blackboard
Jungle," "Rebel without a Cause," and "The
Wild One" emphasized irresponsibility, insubordination,
free sex, and scholastic laziness. "The Blackboard Jungle"
used a Bill Haley soundtrack to encourage young people to forget
their studies and "rock around the clock." In "Rebel
without a Cause" James Dean exuded the essence of pop cool:
unisex sensuality, narcissism, and rebellion to authority. "The
Wild One," played by the very cool Marlon Brando, glorified
self-centered living and neglect of education. Chuck Berry's
hit "School Days" encouraged young people to exchange
their boring studies for the glories of rock & roll partying:
"Hail, hail rock and roll/ Deliver me from the days of old/
Long live rock and roll/ The beat of the drums, loud and bold/
Rock, rock, rock and roll/ The feelin' is there, body and soul."
By the 1960s, the modern teenage culture was well established,
with its own me-first attitude, Dionysian philosophy, oft ridiculous
fashions (anything to differentiate the teenager from his elders),
and particularly its own music. The modern teenager has always
been driven by pop music. Rock stars set the tone. A serious
education is downplayed for the sake of having "fun, fun,
fun." I was dramatically influenced by the pop culture from
the time I arrived in junior high school in 1962. Though I had
some God-given intelligence and love for reading, I soon realized
that being a diligent student was not cool. I became far too
busy being a proper pop culture teenager to give serious attention
to my studies and as a result I was a mediocre to poor student.
Nothing has changed since then. The term "nerd" comes
from the climate of teenage cool. It defines a young person who
is serious about scholarship and probably doesn't fit in too
well with the foolish but oh-so-cool crowd. I was reminded of
this by a recent Associated Press report entitled "I Love
Nerds" about the 2009 National Spelling Bee contestants.
It observed that the bright students "stand out as a bit
dorkey back home." Jose Cabal of Miami said, "It's
like back home I'm a nerd. Up there, everyone else is a nerd."
The serious spellers have memorized tens of thousands of words
and have sharpened their intellect and perfected their use of
the English language, but they aren't cool. The entire concept
of the "nerd" exposes the vanity and foolishness of
the pop culture. It is the "nerd" that is using his
or her life sensibly, whereas the cool crowd is dedicated to
vanity. The pop culture teenage philosophy typically leaves young
people ignorant and deeply scarred with sin. But the power of
teenage cool is enormous and the average young person is not
wise enough to withstand its appeal. Many reports have been written
on the decline in education in America. In 1994 the editor of
Harper magazine characterized the national test scores as "a
coroner's report ... [that] returned a finding of mortal ignorance."
But most studies on modern American education neglect one of
the most powerful influences, which is the pop culture. When
the Herman's Hermits sang in the 1965, "Don't know much
about history/ Don't know much biology/ Don't know much about
a science book," they were expressing the philosophy of

Jones has called the VFW and received confirmation that the email
mentioned below is genuine. An Infowars reader has passed along
an email sent to VFW commanders by the Assistant Adjutant of
the Department of Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars indicating the
U.S. Army TACOM (Tactical Army Command) is demanding an inventory
of all weapons held by VFW posts.
- "While you may have had possession of this equipment
for 20, 40, 60 or 100 years,” the email states, “it
still belongs to the U.S. Military.” The email arrived with
an inventory attachment where all weapons are to be listed and
the document sent to the Department of Texas Veterans of Foreign
Wars. “This form will then be bounced off of the central
database of all Texas VFW Posts at U.S. Army TACOM to verify
serial numbers of each item that has been issued. This is a very
extensive list and goes back to before the VFW was founded. So
if you have a cannon from the Spanish-American War — it’s
on the list.” Many VFW halls around the country have decommissioned
military weapons on their properties along with uniforms, statues
and flags from every era. It is a common practice for VFW honor
guard units to use M-1 rifles made into blank firing devices
for salutes at parades and funerals. Weapons held by VFW posts
are generally kept under lock and key in storage rooms.

potentially brings charges of flip-flopping or hypocrisy or selling-out
or whatever. Certainly, these charges are valid in many cases,
but the simple possibility that circumstances have changed or
that experience or new evidence has caused one to change one's
mind seems never to be seriously entertained. The result is to
force people to stick with positions they know are wrong because
they less fear being foolishly consistent than being attacked

- When Americans adopted the notion that acting on principle,
standing up and fighting for what one believes in, is virtuous,
while changing one's mind, even on sufficient evidence, is unprincipled
flip-flopping and unseemly is not known, but it surely has its
foundation in the American addiction to ideology which places
greater value on belief than on knowledge. This notion's absurdity
should be obvious, but apparently it isn't. Acting on erroneous
principles leads to disaster, and why anyone should be willing
to do that is an enigma. Yet even more sinister consequences
follow from this notion. Since no prominent person, especially
one holding elective office, wants to be labeled “unprincipled,”
people are loath to change their views even when they know those
views are wrong. Once they have decided that being “principled”
is more important than being right, they have no inclination
or desire to question the validity of their views by seeking
the truth. The result is that these so-called principles become
ossified dogmas, debate degenerates into vituperation, government
becomes ineffective, and society disintegrates.
- But the adoption of this notion along with the American addiction
to ideology does not prevent inconsistency, and Bartlett's comment
reveals another trait of what passes for America's intelligentsia—the
curious inability to think past the first level of consequences.
- What Bartlett misses is that people hold “principled”
views on numerous issues. Holding a “principled” view
on one issue can conflict with the “principled” views
held by the same people on other issues, and if the “principled”
people have no inclination or desire to validate any of their

the situation with foreign banks has become clearer,” Alexey
Ulyukaev, first deputy chairman of the Bank of Russia, said.
Brazil, Russia, India and China—known collectively as the
bric nations—have combined reserves of $2.8 trillion. China
has the world’s largest reserves, and Russia the third-largest.
Nouriel Roubini, a professor of economics at New York University
who predicted the current financial crisis, warned that this
could lead to the deterioration of the dollar as the world’s
only reserve currency. “We may see complementary reserve
currencies,” said Roubini at a conference in Athens on Thursday.
It’s “not going to happen overnight,” but the
development “will diminish the role of the dollar over time,”
he said. Officials from bric nations will meet in Russia on June
16, where “they are widely expected to discuss alternatives
to the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency,” according
to the Associated Press. Russia, China and Brazil in recent months
have all proposed that nations move away from the dollar as the
